Indomie Awards Scholarships to 100 Students in Kaduna to Support Education

Dufil Prima Foods, the makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, have reaffirmed their commitment to education and youth empowerment by awarding scholarships to 100 underprivileged students in Kaduna State. The initiative, aimed at easing financial burdens on families and encouraging academic excellence, covered students from 10 junior secondary schools across the state.
The scholarship award ceremony took place at Junior Secondary School, Sabo Tasha, bringing together government officials, education stakeholders, and representatives from Indomie. Each of the selected schools received ₦500,000, which was allocated to the top 10 indigent JSS3 students to support their studies.
Speaking at the event, Professor Yahaya Saleh, Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Scholarships and Loans Board, praised the initiative, stating that corporate support for education is vital in bridging the gap for less privileged students. He encouraged other private organizations to follow Indomie’s example in supporting Nigerian youth.
Abraham Elukpo, Regional Marketing Manager (North) for Indomie Noodles, emphasized that the company remains committed to uplifting communities and empowering students through such initiatives. He reiterated that education is the foundation for a brighter future, and Indomie is proud to contribute to that cause.
Parents and beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the scholarships, highlighting the positive impact on their families. One of the recipients, Fatima Musa, shared her excitement, saying the support would help her pursue her dream of becoming a medical doctor.
The scholarship program aligns with Indomie’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, which focus on education, child welfare, and community development. The company assured that it would continue investing in initiatives that empower Nigerian students and foster a culture of learning.
