Nigeria Customs Service Opens Recruitment for 2025 with Nearly 4,000 Vacancies

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially commenced its 2025 recruitment exercise, inviting applications for roles in the Superintendent, Inspector, and Customs Assistant cadres. This follows the agency’s recent approval to recruit 3,927 officers to bolster trade facilitation and contribute to Nigeria’s economic recovery efforts.
The NCS emphasized that the recruitment process is completely free, urging Nigerians to beware of scammers. “We do not charge fees at any stage. Any demand for payment is fraudulent,” the agency stated.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following general criteria:
- Be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Have no criminal record or ongoing investigations.
Academic Qualifications by Cadre:
- Superintendent Cadre:
- A university degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Inspectorate Cadre
- National Diploma (ND) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) from an approved institution.
- Customs Assistant Cadre
- O’Level certificate (WAEC or NECO).
Applicants must also be physically and mentally fit, supported by medical fitness evidence from a government hospital.
