Trump Vows Justice After Charlie Kirk’s Assassination: We Will Find Those Responsible

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday described slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk as a “martyr for truth,” while blaming the “radical left” for fueling the rhetoric that led to his killing.
In a video shared on Truth Social, Trump said: “For years those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism we’re seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now.”
The president vowed to launch a crackdown on those behind the attack, warning: “My administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity, and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund and support it.”
Kirk, a prominent supporter of Trump known for rallying young voters, was fatally shot while addressing an event at Utah Valley University.
Video footage showed him speaking to a large audience when a single gunshot rang out, causing panic. Investigators believe the shot was fired from a campus rooftop by an assailant dressed in black, in what they suspect was a targeted attack. The gunman remains at large.
