NELFUND to Close 2023/2024 Student Loan Applications on Feb. 21, Opens New Cycle Feb. 22

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced that the 2023/2024 student loan application cycle will officially close on February 21, 2025.

The Managing Director of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr, made this announcement at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, stating that the 2024/2025 application cycle will commence immediately on February 22, 2025.

Sawyerr highlighted that the organization remains committed to ensuring transparency and efficiency in the loan disbursement process. He urged students who are yet to apply for the 2023/2024 cycle to do so before the deadline, assuring that all pending applications will be processed in line with the established guidelines.

The student loan scheme is aimed at providing financial assistance to Nigerian students in tertiary institutions to cover tuition fees and living expenses. Since its launch, the fund has facilitated the education of thousands of students across the country.
