Police Launch Nationwide Search After Official Vehicle Stolen from Force Headquarters in Abuja

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed that an official vehicle a Toyota Buffalo Land Cruiser was stolen from the premises of the Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, in Abuja.

According to an internal communication from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), the vehicle, with chassis number JTELU71JX0B027126 and registration number NPF 5594 D, was reported missing on July 28, 2025. It was attached to the Department of Operations.

The vehicle was last seen in the official parking lot before it was declared missing. The police have launched an investigation and directed all formations, area commands, and divisional offices nationwide to be on the lookout.

A police signal describing the theft urged officers to treat the case as a matter of urgency and report any sightings or leads that could aid in the recovery.
