Bomb Attack on School Bus in Pakistan Kills Six, Injures Dozens

Tragedy struck in Khuzdar, Balochistan province of Pakistan, on Wednesday, when a suicide bomber targeted a school bus, killing six people and injuring over 38 others.
The blast occurred around 7:40 a.m. as the bus was transporting students to an Army Public School. Among the dead were four schoolchildren, the driver, and a security guard. Several of the injured students remain in critical condition, and officials fear the death toll may rise.
Authorities say the attack was carried out using an explosive-laden vehicle that rammed into the bus. The devastating explosion caused chaos in the area and left the vehicle in ruins.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bombing. However, Pakistani officials have accused Indian intelligence of orchestrating the attack through proxies, an allegation India has strongly denied, calling it unfounded and politically motivated.
Balochistan has been a hotspot for separatist insurgencies and militant attacks for years, but strikes directly targeting children and schools are rare, making this attack especially shocking and tragic.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the incident and is expected to visit the region alongside military leaders to meet survivors and oversee security efforts. International voices, including U.S. diplomats, have also condemned the attack, calling it a “heinous and cowardly act.”
The incident underscores the severe risks faced by civilians, particularly children, in conflict-prone regions, and raises renewed concerns about the security of educational institutions.
